Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship (DGE-001)

Become a plumbing and heating engineer!

Whether you have just left school or looking for a career change the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship is available to anyone who is 16 and over. The course typically lasts 24 months and coincides with working with an employer where you can hone in on your skills learned at our training centre.

We pride ourselves in operating smaller, more personal classes which ensures our students feel valued with training that feels bespoke to them. This allows our students to achieve to their full potential in an engaging, positive and enjoyable environment.

24 Months

Despite many thinking that apprenticeships are reserved for the younger generation, you can enrol onto an apprenticeship at any age over 16.

Another myth is that you need to have prior experience in plumbing before enrolling on the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship course and this is simply not the case.

The only requirement for you to be enrolled is being employed by a gas safe registered employer.

If you can’t find an employer yourself, we will do everything we can with our contacts to help find you one so you can start your apprenticeship.

It is desirable that you have GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (A*-C) in maths and English.

However, If you don’t have these qualifications, we will offer Level 2 training and assessment in maths and English which allows you to add to your skillset and enables you to undertake the end point assessment to pass the Level 3 Gas Engineering course.

Apprentices achieve the following qualifications upon completion:

  • CCN1/CENWAT

  • MET1

  • CoNGLP1 PD

  • Unvented Hot Water

  • Water Regulations

  • Air Source Heat Pumps

  • Level 2 Functional Skills Maths & English (if applicable)

All apprentice graduate with full Gas Safe Registration.

Apprentices will receive a Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate.
